How Renting LiDAR Works

If you want to do data collection yourself but you don’t have all of the Lidar equipment/personnel that you need let Airborne 1 help you out. At Airborne 1 you can rent just the lidar sensor or the lidar sensor and any extra pieces you might be missing from hard drives to GPS antennas and lidar sensor operators.

First, decide what you want to do yourself and what you want us to do. Then, decide what items you have and what items you need. If you call us we will be happy to walk you through this process step-by-step.

Installation Specifications

The hole in the aircraft needs to be at least 25cm X 19cm so that our aluminum sleeve (to keep the sensor in place) can fit over the hole. The sleeve’s dimensions are 30cm X 20cm. The plate gets a bit complicated; it all depends on which aircraft you’re in and how the aircraft provider wants to secure the plate to the plane. Please contact us for further details.

Power Consumption The sensor will require a constant 28 volts with a current draw of 30-35 amps.
